busy days
Meet the animals. Elliot with Milo, named after an Australian drink and Oreo, named after the popular biscuit.
Thursday 8 May.
Elliot's sponsored Colour Run at school. All children were taking part. The children were aaskes to wear white T-shirts. Each year group were given 10 minutes to run round the playing field where they would tackle obstacles. At each obstacle they were also sprayed with coloured corn starch. They were also sprayed with water to make the corn starch stick to their shirts. They were all really colourful by the time their 10 minutes finished.
The children raised $30000 (about £15000) which will help fund the school's strong Music and Arts programme. Much to the children's delight some of their teachers were dowsed with 'slime'.
Evening supper at the 'Sushi Train' with more family friends.
Josie just home for school camp. She gave it 7/10 despite having the worst rusty coach, the worst cabin. horrible food and a horrible teacher. The activities, including kayaking and abseiling, must have made up for the horrible bits.
Late morning we were packed ready to leave to get the ferry for Stradbroke Island.
Our rental house. Plenty of room for all. The children happy with a twin room with it's own TV, sofa and en-suite.
Weather not the best. Rather wet, windy and chilly but some amazing beaches. Stradbroke Island is the 2nd largest sand island in the world so every beach is sandy.
